the thing you folks dont realize is that once the media hangs their hat on a horse, they find a way to shove it to the front. USC is the media's new Ohio State. :dis:  Just like Georgia is their USC in the SEC. :dis: They have about 3-4 favorite/fortunate sons they like to promote, if one horse stumbles, they move their marbles to the other. USC fits the bill right now. They are "hung in there". Similar to an ass kisser at work, you have no idea how they get where they are but it's obvious they had some help.
Check out the results of that poll. OU has the better coach, running backs, receivers, and quarterback but Auburn wins? Huh?
Obviously, you're entitled to your opinion, but I could not disagree more. If USC was in any other BCS conference (except maybe the Big East), they would have at least one loss, maybe two.
The running backs thing is a stretch...Peterson is good but I will take the tandem of Williams and Brown anyday
The Pac-10 has been pretty weak this year. CAL has hung in there, and ASU has been a surprise, but the rest of the conference sucks ass and in a big way. I hate saying that. I live out here and want to see good football when I have to watch the local football scene.
I agree with you 100% Mr.Peabody........... :thumb: I would like to see OU vrs. AU if both win out but that won't happen, USC somehow gets the automatic bid if they win their last two games.......For the first time in my life I will pull for Notre Damn next week......
I think I'd like to see OU vs. AU just so that we can hear the condoms moan and complain again. I'm willing to bet they'd declare themselves the national champions if they get left out of the Orange, or even if they go to the Orange and lose.
Considering the pending mess with the NC / BCS, I think the best thing that can happen is for USC to get their a** handed to them by either OU or Auburn in the Orange Bowl. Perhaps that will wake up some folks to the fact that championships must be won on the field, not in the polls. BTW, I think that is what will happen.
