I don't think Murphy is big enough to get the tough yardage between the tackles. He's fast as Hell and great in open space, but I see him more as our version of Reggie Bush. Scott will be our Duece, and Williams will be a little of both.

Honestly, I see Williams taking the lead as our all-round, every-down, do-it-all back with the others coming in for specific situations.

what's happened to Lee? i thought he was the one with the touch.

T-Bob at center. does that mean miller isnt the backup?

am i correct to assume eugene and hawkins are getting most of the reps with the first team D?

    1. Harvard dude is smarter, apparently

    2. Ryan Miller is the backup

    3. Don't know.

Is it just me or does Murphy remind any of you of Harvey Williams? I think Harvey was a bit heavier, but their body type and movements are so similar. I have thought this since the first time I saw RM run and it has merely been reinforced with more film.

Murphy's neck is too short. :hihi:

He can do it if he can follow his blockers like Hester did very well and Keiland Williams has never gotten the hang of. If he can hold back until the block is there and then shift and explode through the hole, he can be an inside runner as quick as you can say Dalton Hilliard.

I'd love to see that...but something ELSE Hester was very good at was running over people and getting the yards after contact. Murphy just doesn't strike me as that type of runner.

Now, once he gets a head of steam...that's another story.

You think? To me that is one of their more similar traits. And the way they move. Just seems uncanny to me how similar they are. I suppose there are only a few here that even remember watching Harvey though.

    P&G_wheelz007 Football anyone?

One other thing that Hester did, he protected the football. Our backs will have to do that this year- keep the fumbles to a minimum.
