I'm sure this thread has been done, but let's break in the new food forum the right way.

1. Abita Turbo Dog- a biased pick, but I love Abita even more now that I've moved away from Louisiana.

2. Boulevard Wheat- If you're ever around these parts (Kansas City), you should try this local brew. Very smooth. Get it with a lemon, and it tastes even better.

3. Killian's

4. Corona- It's carried by every restaurant, and you can't go wrong with this.

5. Shiner Bock

Michelob Light and Ultra
Miller Light
Molson Canadien
Labbatts Blue

Dude, how can you drink Michelob Ultra. There is not much difference between Ultra and the Baton Rouge tap water.

I'll go along with you on the Heineken and St. Pauli Girl. I also like Becks and Killians. Pilsen Urquell and Hofbrau are also excellent.

Anybody ever heard of or tried Boag's? I sometimes communicate on IMs with an Australian guy who is in the same business as me. A couple of years ago he moved from near Sydney to Tasmania. He has told me that a Tasmanian beer called Boag's is the best he ever tasted. I haven't been able to find it locally. I haven't been in the Chimes for a while. Maybe they have it or know of it.

I've never heard of Boag's, Bengal. I just checked it out online and most every place I went to had very high marks for the brew though.

You should never mix Guinness, and Bass. The Irish and English do not get along. Instead substitute Harp Lager for the Bass. Two great Irish beers...ummm yummy!!!
