My mother in law's, and now my wife's, turkey gravy over rice. It's a damn strong gravy.

When I was living in a camp in Barataria bay, we used to wake up and hunt and fish for our Thanksgiving dinner...like the Indians did.

Speckled trout, Redfish, Boiled crabs, cooned oysters eaten raw, French duck. Homemade bread and cake.

    Before Duck season, I used to call Summer ducks...Supper ducks...Shhhh !!! :yelwink2:.

Only a lazy man would not eat like a king out there.

    I miss those days.

German potatoes. And since it was my favorite, I got volunteered to make them for the last twenty years.

Pain in the ass but soooooo good.

Gruel. A mixture of everything leftover with some stock from the bird bones. Even better if a smoked bird was used. Gruel.

We'll be closed on Thanksgiving day, but open for breakfast only Friday morning. (Everyone will be eating leftovers for lunch Friday).

Then, we'll be open Saturday and Sunday like normal. (closed Mondays).

    You gonna be in town?
