Interesting that when Michigan was looking for a HC and Miles had said he wasn't going, the Michigan fans had a wish list of impossible coaches they really would have preferred even to Miles--Meyer, Stoops and Carroll. I think they're pretty glad they didn't have a shot at Stoops after seeing tonight's performance. Stoops is just a pouty kid and he looks good in the Big 12 but can't handle the pressure in a bowl.
I thought about it and that's why I said it...USC lost to Stanford and some are claiming for a split...The way I see it is simple, if USC can do it, so does WVU which beat a much better team in their bowl game than USC did.
Not sure if this has been covered because I haven't read every post in this thread, but were those SEC officials in that game? It sure seemed like it and they must've thought LSU was playing because of all the flags. I wonder if Stoops is going to be questioned about his coaching because of all the OU penalties like Miles is. Peabody, I'm not trying to rub it in, but I'm just curious how Sooner nation feels about Stoops given the lack of success in the BCS the last few years. Do you guys feel that this is something all great teams go through every now and then or are there some grumblings for change? If there are grumblings, I'm sure its from a very small minority of fans.
I'm officialing declaring OU jinxed after the media called their 2003 team the best of all time. I'm also declaring their defense jinxed tonite after Stoops little spill at the half of the 2003 NC game. They haven't been able to win a bowl game since then... Btw, How good does it make the 2003 LSU team since they did beat the best team of all time that year?:tigereye:
