1. I heard half the MSU "Riot planners" were at NC State over Easter for special training... and the other half were at Auburn for water hose self-defense classes.
  2. It's not just when they win something. I live in New Orleans, and I'm constantly amazed at the way some of these people come down here and make total asses of themselves as if the normal rules of society don't apply here...then they'll have the audacity to go back north and tell their neighbors how backwards WE are.
  3. I'm not sure many people (from anywhere) visit New Orleans for the outstanding church services.
  4. That would be one very thoughtful obsercation.
  5. I'm not sure many people (from anywhere) visit Iowa at all - for any reason.
  6. Is that supposed to mean that when you're in New Orleans all bets are off? That just because you're there, you can be totally unaccountable? Do you
think that our rules of polite society are any different than those in Des Moines? You're apparently one of the idiots I'm talking about.

You know, I hear a lot of tourists complain about the smell of the French Quarter and how dirty it is. My response to them is simply this: How do you think it got that way? Who do you think trashed it? We LIVE here...do you really think we're going to trash our own home?
  7. You're too funny, G Man! Good to see you have your biases under control.

Sorry about all us Northerners messing up the French Quarter... and it used to be such a peaceful, serene place. We use to love bringing the children there to play in the streets.

  8. And it's interesting to see that you have no answer other than to insult our city.

Tell you what...next time you come down here and act like a drunken ass just because you feel like coming here gives you license to, let me know. I want to have the camcorder ready so that when you go home and tell your neighbors about how "backwards" WE are, I can send them evidence that shows them exactly who the "backwards" people are.
  9. Apology accepted. Now, just tell your brethren to knock it off.
  10. I live in Florida, btw... had a son go to Auburn and a daughter to UGA. I travel to NO on business and enjoy some very good restaurants.

Most locals are more than happy I'm there... I obviously haven't met you on my visits... and I see that's probably a good thing.

Sorry to hear you've had a lifetime of bad experiences. My guess is the French Quarter has done much on their own to encourage some of the behavior that goes on there.
