I think it is good to have so many options at RB, since different styles tend to be effective against different teams. JV, Ally and Shyrone all represent pretty different running styles. Addai's style is closer to Ally's. The rotation we had in this game should work against UGA until we determine who seems to be the most effective against their particular defense. JV may be the one who lights up UGA, like he did in the SECCG last year. Or it may be Ally. We can try them all and give the most carries to the guy who is doing the most damage. Of course, all of them depend on decent blocking by the OL, although JV is less likely to be able to move a pile by himself than Ally or Addai.
If JV doesn't start hitting the hole with some convction he'll find the bench. Broussard runs like he's pissed at somebody and JV has been tip-toeing like a dang little girl. I havn't compared the games to last years, but I bet a dollar to a hole in a donut that JV hit the hole a lot harder last year.
Read my post, cartoon character ... I said Vincent will get his 10 carries ... but he won't start (benched in favor of Broussard) who will see the load ... By the way ... LSU had 5 fumbles ... lost 4 ... Saban will "BITCH" about it in the newspapers We lose 4 fumbles next week and GA will hand us our azz :hihi: Buster Davis (1), Jamarcus Russell (1) ... and Vincent had (2)
He wasn't last year ... Seems like someone had something to prove (last year he couldn't hit the holes quick enough) ... It only makes LSU better ... when Vincent comes around and they're all playing hard ... LSU is gonna be unstoppable ... next week the GA dee ... I can't wait
It was a bad ball transition, JV and JR mis qued. Also, JV is the same back he was last year, the offensive line is different. Last year when JV got his big starts the O-line had SEVERAL games under their belt. they trapped, pulled stunts, etc.. Alley is a straight ahead bulldozer style runner, he just needs a lil hole and a push of the line, while JV needs ONE good block out front, since he is an outside slashing type runner. Our O-line just isn't giving him that............YET. They are however getting a decent ( could be better ) push off the line. Remember this was Moo U not Auburn. I said last week that game would be won in the trenchs and we almost pulled it out. We need some of those bruisers up front to trap, pull and block. They did a great job of gettin some push off the line this week and opening up some holes for AB. :thumb:
Hey ramah, want to stop posting that Justin had 2 fumbles? You've done it in about 4 diffrerent threads and he only had one.
WHEN JV COMES AROUND?? We are in week 4. Come around should have already showed up and AB had 8+ yards a carry agaunst AU. Last year is over and done with. AB is the man until proven otherwise. Last year'sstat'sare just that, last years stat's.
