Hey y'all, the rumor in Tallahassee is that FSU is trying to lure Jimbo Fisher to FSU to be offensive coordinator. It doesn't make sense that he would lateral to a declining program when he can make another run at a national championship at LSU next year, but they could promise him the head coaching position when Bowden retires. Also, there's a Bowden connection: according to LSUSports.net, Jimbo played for and coached under Terry Bowden. Anybody else hear anything about this????
The rumor has legs! Fisher is supposedly going to interview late next week when the HC positions have resolved a little bit. Too many people are saying he is the man FSU wants for the job for the rumor to not have some validity. This doesn't mean I think he would take the job but he is certainly going to listen.
