"I have received a lot of emails asking if I have heard of any position changes during Spring practice. I have been told that John Williams will be moving to running back or slot back and will be a strong candidate to return punts and kicks. I have also been told that Steffon Francois will play both linebacker and safety this Spring and that Shomari Clemons will play linebacker. I have been told that Clemons has had a very good off-season and tips the scale at 230. There are also reports that Ricky Jean Francois will likely play defensive tackle if Kriston Pittman receives an extra year from the NCAA and it is almost certain that he will. There are also a few reports that Al Wood or Will Blackwell will be moved to offensive tackle but I do not believe that will happen."

I thought Blackwell would move to OLine all along, and I've heard that he's gained a lot of weight (not in a good way). I don't see Al Woods moving to OLine.

John Williams at RB would suprise me, but I have heard slot back mentioned before & that could be interesting. I've also heard that punt/kick returns will be between he & another RS freshman, Ron Brooks.

Steffon Francois played up in the box a lot in HS & he could definitely convert to LB if need be. I guess letting him play both LB & Safety in the Spring will let the coaches see where he looks best.

I expected them both to end up on offense because of their size. Al Woods is a bit tall to have the DT quickness required in today's defense, but I kept hearing that he was going to be a force on defense. He got PT this season but really didn't distinguish himself. The emergence of Jean-Baptiste will keep him a reserve on defense. I'd rather see them both get significant playing time on offense, I think.

    Steffan Francois= Roy Williams.

It's better to move him to OLB now, rather than when it's too late.

I wish the Cowboys had thought about this.

I like Williams being a RB. Isn't he related to D. Davis or D. Williams?

If he is in any way that much of an athlete, I will like this kid a lot.

What about Coleman, does Jones and Coleman split time at SS.
who is the backup FS as well?

Maximizing talent along the DLine. He's a beast at DT also, and DT is weaker than DE.

I've seen him win MVP in the title game at DT. Haven't seen him do much at DE.

Granted, it's mostly due to a lack of reps, but I like him filling that hole.

My guess is that Jones is the nickel or dime back and the backup at FS, while Coleman takes over at SS. Many will disagree.

Are you saying that because Coleman will be the upperclassman over Jones.
