EXACTLY! so I don't understand the level of panic!

We will get better every game,

and our original benchmark was better than the #15 team in America...

that dont sound bad to me

I don't blame the players on defense, although they did make a few 1st game mistakes. Question is why did Pellini have the linebackers dropping in zone all day? These same linebackers got killed by the tight end all day. Hardly any blitzes until the end. No safety blitzes. Pellini needs to rethink his defense, IMO.

They have 2 weeks to prep for Tenn. Am I the only one not worried about Tenn. This ASU game will be probably the toughest game this year...1st game, away, top 15 team. they'll beat tenn.

Well im not one of those that says you cant take anyone lightly. I believe LSU can sleep walk through MSU, Vandy, Appy St and games of that nature. Games like Tenn and Fla are another monster though. You cannot take teams like that lightly. If LSU goes in with that mentality for Tenn, they will run into some trouble. I think this game does help for the Tigers to get one under there belts and have a win to show for it. But, there are still 9 games left. It's a long season folks. I have a hunch there will only be one undefeated team at years end and thats USC. So, its going to be a multi dog race for second this year.

The season is far from over. I think it is first game jitters and pelini comes from too good of a program to not make the proper adjustments. They did play way too soft, but I need to see another game before i call off the dogs on the season.

I'm withholding my judgment until after the Tennessee game. All I do know is that Bo Pelini is not an idiot, and he has coached very successful defenses in the past. The thing that would personally worry me more than the scheme is the lack of adjustments.
