1. I feel the same and, growing up, I can remember my mother declaring we were "Proud Coonasses" a lot. Cooking turtle on an open fire in the woods, etc.

  3. "Old days", I still do that often right off of my patio, mostly a home grown hen with some sausage.

  7. Of course I mean the fish. It takes way too long to prepare a child for roasting. Plus, I have no where near enough stuff to make enough marinade for a 4-year-old.

  10. I married one of those home grown Coonies. There is nothing like them. He likes to hunt and fish with me. And then cook what we get. What more can a girl ask for? :D
