1. I did not agree with Peter Fiutak on his response but it is his opinion.

Okay Pete, time to put your money where your mouth is. I am tired of hearing/reading all this PAC10 hype on how good the conference is overall. It is NOT the best conference 1 through 10, in my humble opinion. Actually, you said the SEC has some "nasty teams", that is also has "a bunch of average squads and some total dogs". Well, let's compare our 1-10 to the PAC10's 1-10. You tell me who would win each game, please. I would like to hear your honest opinion.
    SEC (1-10) vs. PAC10 (1-10)
    LSU vs. USC
    Tenn. vs. Arizona State
    Georgia vs. California
    Florida vs. Oregon State
    Auburn vs. UCLA
    Alabama vs. Oregon
    S. Carolina vs. Washington State
    Ole Miss vs. Stanford
    Arkansas vs. Arizona
    Kentucky vs. Washington
Please tell me who you think, would win each game and tally up SEC vs PAC10. Thanks, -
    Rob from Jacksonville

A: First of all, my Pac 10 1-10 statement is that the league, from top to bottom, is the most solid in America going into this year because Washington, Stanford and Arizona are the best of the bottom feeders. I didn’t say the Pac 10 was the best conference; I said it was the most even. In your SEC vs. Pac 10 scenario you’re taking out Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, which isn’t all that fair. According to your matchups, if played on a neutral field, I’d pick the SEC to go 6-4 picking, from the Pac 10, USC to beat LSU, Washington State to beat South Carolina, Stanford to beat Ole Miss and Washington to beat Kentucky. To make this a bit more accurate, I’d take two of the projected middle-of-the-pack SEC teams out of the mix. In this case, I’d take out South Carolina from the East and Arkansas from the West and add in Vandy and Mississippi State. Then, my prediction count would be 5-5 with USC over LSU, Tennessee over Arizona State, Georgia over California, Florida over Oregon State, Auburn over UCLA, Alabama over Oregon, Washington State over Ole Miss, Stanford over Kentucky, Arizona over Mississippi State, and Washington over Vanderbilt.

I think the SEC would go atleast 7-3 with wins for:

    LSU

    Tenn

    Georgia

    Florida

    Auburn

    Alabama

    Arkansas
