5. The surprise, disappointment, and best moment of the weekend were…
Other than the obvious letdowns, the surprise of the weekend was the just how easily the LSU Tigers were able to beat the Auburn Tigers. With all due respect to Ole Miss, this might have been the battle for the SEC West and LSU showed frightening skill on both sides of the ball disposing of Auburn. The disappointment was Virginia Tech’s clunker putting a damper on the showdown against Miami next week. The Hokies are still good enough to beat the Canes, but this is no longer the end-of-the-Big-East-world showdown that college football fans were hoping for. The best moment was the entire overtime experience between Tennessee and Alabama. These two teams played their hearts out, made big play after big play, and gave college football, and the SEC, and all-time classic.
