1. I kinda thoght this was a funny question. Could you imagine Saban prowling the sidelines with shoulder pads and a helmet

Reader comments: This may be a stupid question to you , but why do the baseball coaches wear team uniforms on game day, and football and basketball coaches do not? Maybe you can ask some of your readers and see the responses you get.
  2. Well, he's right about that.
  3. I have often wondered this to. Its the same at the high school level also.
  4. I would like to take a stab at this one.

It was not uncommon years ago for managers of teams to be players as well, thus the need for them to be in uniform. Today you do not see the manager playing, so the need is no longer there. Seeing how baseball is a game of tradition (for the most part), managers will not disrupt the integrity of the game by wearing a suit in the dugout.
  5. The last manager to wear a suit was Connie Mack of the Phillies back in the 20's or 30's.
  6. sounds good to me :thumb:
  7. Now that you say that I seem to remember hearing it before so good job!!
  8. by George Mesquite, I think you got that one right. And also, Connie Mack and the other famous old timer, I think it was John Mcgraw were the last to wear suits if an article I read up in Boston last summer were correct. Great answers guys.
  9. You really want to see John Brady out there in a basketball uniform ?

  10. I think it would help the NBA, Id surely turnit on for a few seconds to see Jeff Van Gundy in some long ass shorts.
