Oh you know they will if they have any way of getting out again. Maybe Beemer can talk to Fulmer about excuses. They want no part of coming to TS.

Skip said we need 8 home games next season to compensate for the loss of revenue this seasaon from moving the Arizona St game. It's not permanent, just next season so don't think it implies anything about OOC opponents for the future. The coaches & athletic program have said that they want 1 good OOC opponent per season.

Next season is fine, and reasonable. I really believe, given 2 or 3 years, Skip will come back and say we need to have 8 games EVERY year, just like in the past years, we've had to have 7 home games a year (Funny how other big schools can manage without having 7 home games EVERY year).

The way I'd handle the 12 game schedule if I were making the decisions is stick to the 7 home games a year, and have 2 big name opponents each year. (Or maybe 1 big name, and 1 respectable name) You schedule one big one on the road, and one at home, then rotate. Doesn't seem to be that difficult. Doubt we will ever move that direction though, we seem to be content with Tulane.

Hopefully in 2 or 3 years LSU will get a real AD...

That topic deserves its own thread. Not saying that to tell you this is off-topic.. Saying it because it is rarely discussed, in comparison to other things.
