GAME ON GAME ON!!!!!! (Opinion, Not Yet Fact) I just called the Best Western in Auburn, where I'm staying this weekend. He said it is rainy and windy, but he's seen worse. Also says whole town still has power. This was at 1:20 and I realize it may take a turn for the worse, but he said everyone's attitude was "Play ball" barring a tornado go through there and take out all the trailers. In all seriousness, my prayers are with the folks in the good state of Alabama and elsewhere, but come Saturday at 2:30, my ass is going to Jordan-Hare to watch us KICK AU'S ASS up and down the field. I know the kid that works the front desk at a Best Western doesn't make the descision to play or not, but it was nice to get a locals perspective instead of us folks just watching on tv. GEAUX TIGERS WAR DAMN CHICKEN TUBBY STILL SUCKS
Thread shouldn't have a title like that unless it's concrete, final information. I opened this thread expecting to hear official word or something, not someone's second hand guess as to whether or not the game is going to be played. BTW, what's the official word at the moment, still wait and see?
Is that how you treat a fellow LSU tiger? you just called, who, the best western? have you ever experienced a hurricane? do you realize auburn is supposed to get more wind and a lot more rain? before you post such an reckless title, back it up with some real info, not the desk man at the hotel. I'm sure a lot of others will feel the same.
The hurricane hasn't even hit there yet fool And you'll spend 20 hours getting to Auburn ... better leave Friday morning ... With a 4-WD and a chainsaw in the back  Unless you have a helicopter
If a teenage cleck at the Best Western says it its got to be true. :dis:  I just heard on the radio that the storm is still about 3 hours away from Auburn so if you call back in a few hours and can even get through that snivelling little cleck might be singing a different tune.
Gasoline is in short supply all over the region, especially along highways. Hotels are all full. The roads are clogged with refugees returning. Roads are flooded and bridges are out. Trees are down and 1,000,000 people are without power. Its going to be tough for fans from either school to make it to the game. Also the police in Alabama may have more important work to do this weekend. On the other hand the Auburn boards report that the Montgomery airport suffered little damage and is expected to be open tomorrow, so the Tigers can get there, even if the fans can't.
