I agree, we got manhandled the 1st quarter and it doesn't look pretty but maybe we came to play for the last 30 minutes. It would blow "all" of our minds if we did comeback and win this thing and define so many things like our season. The offense would find an identity and there would be no QB controversy. Maybe JR should play the rest of the way? I don't know, tough call but it will be nice for him having this experience for next year. On the bright side we couldn't play any worse than we did and only be down 2 scores. I think it won't be as bad as some of us have feared now.
Nick has said he would go with the hot hand. JR surely looked hot. The blocking looked a lot better also.
Alright. We are a whole different team with Russell at QB. 24-10 at the half and we get the ball back. Com'on Tigers!!
We are not getting good pressure on green even when we bring the house and that is not a good sign, the D line needs to get a better push. The O line has been horrible until the last 4 minutes of the game. We do get the ball to start the half, have momentum and after going down 24-0 the pressure should be off. Lets hope we see a different and very fired up group of Tigers in the 2nd half and make a game of it.
no credit to saban but I think our tigers figured out this is a huge game, hats off to Richt for informing his players that this game will make or break a NC. Now even a blind man can see that JR is the Man! Saban should stop being so hard headed.
i'll stick to my original quote. we're not a top 25 team. we don't have a true starting quarterback, YET. we have the talent, no doubt. but no one has stepped up to lead these guys like Mauck did. Right now we are too inconsistent to be a top 25 team.
I am at least excited for the 2nd half... But for a big picture issue....this is now the 5th game and we are still tackling worse than Deion Sanders. Exactly when will this issue work itself out
By the way...Cal is working over Oregon State and may be the most underrated team in the country. Without a doubt, the 'other' champions have a big time chance for a loss next week.
