1. Let's do it!
  2. Choot em!
  3. It's fun. I've been with friends down in Grand Chenier. It's NOTHING like you see on tv. You pull the rope and pop 'em with a .22 as soon as they break the water...no drama. Hell, I had a cheerleader from McNeese with me and they let her pop a couple.
  4. COOL! And good luck!
  5. In Mississippi it's different. You can't bait hooks (huge disadvantage), but you can go at night (huge advantage). It's from sundown to sunrise and you have to throw a line and snag them with a treble hook. Drag them up to the boat and shoot them.

Mississippi's laws aren't wide open like LA. You will never see someone rollin through the bayou with 20 gators piled in the boat. First of all, the gator "season" only lasts 2 nights. I am under the impression that you can only harvest 1 gator per night. So the way it was explained to me is that you go hunting for the biggest sumbitch that you can find b/c you don't want to waste your tag on a small or average gator.

I know that it's not as sexy as LA gator hunting, but I'll still enjoy it--even if I only get to harvest 2 gators.
