Meyer himself called the injuries, to McDonald and Caldwell, "Devastating."

I think he now has an 'out' if he gets beat by LSU, UGA and/or possibly even Alabama.

Without McDonald, the Gators will have an even harder time trying to stop the Georgia running attack.

Playing the, "Devastating Injury Card," will buy Meyer some tolerance from many of the Gator faithful.

I doubt Urban Meyer is secretly planning on playing the injury card.

He's busy trying to figure out how he will cope with these injuries and who can step up to replace these players.

Why doesn't Urban Meyer wear his vatican beanie cap during games?

Except that the devastating injury card is real, those two injuries will impact his ability to win ball games.

Yeah it was sick looking. I saw an angle early in the replays where I thought I saw his leg bend slightly at the thigh, but I was like "Did I just see what I think I just saw?" Then as they kept replaying different angles in slow motion, it became pretty clear what happened. Now I watched a lot of football over the weekend, and saw several injuries, but if I remember right, Caldwell got up immediately after the hit, or at least started to. And that's just freaky.

Sometimes you don't even realize you've been injured until several seconds after the play is over.

I remember getting a finger stuck in a shoulder pad once and my finger just snapped at a 90% angle. I was so into the game that I could hardly feel it.
It actually took me a few seconds to realize that I really needed to head to the sidelines to have it worked on.

Urban Meyer's D is already thin as hell and this hurts quite a bit. In addition, Caldwell was HUGE for their offense...and offense that didnt look at great anyway.

UF losing 2 games to end the year wouldnt shock me

I am not one who was on the Meyer bandwagon to begin with.
Even with these players available, I felt that the Gators were somewhat over-rated.

I remember watching that Kickoff return and him taking it to the right and all I could think was

"He better watch out for that guy gunning for - OUCH!"

Right when I saw it happen I saw his leg BEND at an angle. You can actually see his leg snap back , and when they showed the 2nd angle all I could think was "FEMUR FRACTURE" my friends watching it with me wondered how I knew and I simply told them to watch the reply where you see his upper leg bend. gruesome, really.
