They are better than Bama and if they play well are the best team UF has gone up against to date. They present a bigger challenge than Tenn becasue they actually can score more than 20 points in a game

You gotta be kiddin me right? They looked like crap for 3/4's of the game against Vandy. They looked awful. If they turn the ball over 4 times against us like they have in every game this year, then they will not win. I don't care how fast you are. If you can't hold on to the ball and you keep throwing it to the wrong team you will not have a good year.

Come on, they lost at home against TN. And after seeing TN against us and Georgia, not to mention TN barely beat someone like UAB, how can you call them the real deal. And if you watched the last part of the Vandy game, it was clear Vandy's "D" was out of gas at the end of the game.

Yeah, they sure looked like the real deal against UT, a team we beat.

I am not convinced they are better than Bama or UT. They did not look good for most of the game against Vandy and Les Miles has already showed he cant coach with a lead so even if they can score on our Defense he might just let us back in the game.

They don't look that good. Lots of talent but inconsistent on defense and special teams and turnover prone on offense. The problem is its hard to say just how good we are. It will be a significant challenge and its a must win game for us. It should be fun.

Now GA and Bama definitely looked like the best 2 in the SEC and now with the loss of their best offensive player, Bama wont be the same so it looks like GA is the strong favorite to represent the SEC. I could see them giving a lot of trouble to a team like USC. But who knows maybe we can come together before we meet them and pull off a huge win.

No way nola....LSU's defense isn't close to Bama's. LSU is capable of scoring points but Russell is very inconsistent.

my concern with lsu is that their front is pretty solid, and uf's Oline sucks. and uf hasn't exactly been hitting the deep post or anything else down the field in the passing game. so it looks like a case where uf may not be able to take advantage of lsu's weakness, which is pass defense.

LSU has enough talent to com[pete for the ntional championship. I agree Miles is a goof and the team has underachieved.

However if they bring their "A" game they are darn good.... Gators will be underdogs the next two games, and thats OK with me... If these guys want to be east champions they will need to EARN it from here on out and that is the way it should be.

BTW LSU IS better than BAMA and they will win the west despite Miles

Just curious....what element of their team gives you this impression?

    Offense, defense, team speed, etc?

LSU hasn't shown that they can be a better team than Bama, but I'll bet we hear Urban say "They may be better than Alabama," at least once this week. It's going to be a tough game. I think we can win it if we get the crowd out of it.

Anybody who thinks we didn't dominate that game needs only to look at statistics. We demolished them, but turnovers killed us. All LSU fans, players & coaches acknowledge this. Florida fans are right, if we do this against them I think they will take advantage of it.

I wouldn't say LSU is better than Bama right now. We might turn out to be, but as of right now I'd have to say that Bama is the best in the SEC. Of course, this is going off of one blowout of an overrated Florida team...

I don't think Florida has done anything yet to make them think they should be able to easily win this game. The only logic to support that at this point would be that they beat Tennessee, whom we lost to.

They doubt Miles about as much as most LSU fans were 2 weeks ago. I can't say it's unwarranted because he probably deserved it after the first two games. I think he's had enough time to get in the grove now & don't think he will hold us back anymore.

I'd say a lot of those gator fans are pretty close to the truth. LSU has NOT proved it is a better team than Bama. We lost to a Tenn team that Fla. beat, and Bama stomped Fla.

If nobody has a breakout game, I expect a slugfest. LSU can win, but they will have to play better than they did against Vandy. 12-6 late in the second half won't get it against Fla.

We need continued improvement and we need players to step up. We need concentration, eliminate penalties and turnovers, and we will be ok.

We won two games against easy competition. Now, with some games under our belt, the SEC season begins in earnest.

What is this talk about inconsistency from JR? I simply haven't seen it. He was lights out against ASU, looked pretty bad against UT, (but I blame that on the play calling,) he looked pretty damn good against State and pretty damn good last night. The only inconsistency I see is that we're still not playing up to our potential on offense. But, let's be honest here, with the exception of Davey-to-Reed, WHEN has LSU's defense really held up its potential? Defense is a different story, obviously, as it was CNS's bread and butter. Our offense NEVER seemed to play on the same level as our "D." If our defense plays the way they did against Vandy, here-on-out... Bama, Florida, Auburn...and the rest of the nation better watch-out. I like Pellini's style of "D," I like how we attack and hit. I've been telling a lot of my friends, co-workers, that it will take a while for our secondary to become adept to a new scheme... well, I think they're starting to get it. LSU's offense REALLLLLLLLY needs to get things straight and open up the play book. I would really like to see a stellar offense being run at LSU before I die. I know that we were crazy when Reed was around... but look at the talent we have now.... we should be making USC look like abs CHIT!

The only stat that counts is the one on the score board and we only dominated that one in the 4th. Like the gator posters said if we turn the ball over 4 times they win going away. Stats are fun to keep up with but don't mean much unless it is reflected by the score and it wasn't against Vandy. We should have won by 50 and Florida is no Vandy, the Tigers will need a better effort against a better team(On offense).

I don't think anyone can argue with some of those critiques.

I saw a talented but undisiplined team last night. Too many penalties and turnovers.

We need to improve in those areas or we're not going to hang with the big boys. I think we will improve.

I know it's not a critique, but check this guy out.

Not a good idea when you get blown out by Bama. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------Id like to see our guys be a bit "thug like" before the game at lsu next week. Go jump on the lsu logo and talk smack at the coin toss or something... Basically try to pick a fight..

LSU fans and players dont believe in their coaches. Lets make a statement that UF is there to play and make the LSU guys question if their "braintrust" can win a tough game at home after the tenn collapse.
