OK, so all of a sudden freaking South Florida vs. Rutgers is important to LSU fans! This brings back memories from the 2003 season when I stayed up late to watch the outcome of some Hawaii game because of its BCS implications.

So anyway, South Florida is only a 2.5 point favorite, and they're playing at Rutgers, so I'm thinking/hoping that Rutgers has a really good chance to win the game.

Kickoff is at 6:30pm Central tomorrow night (Thursday the 18th), and it's on ESPN (in high-definition too!).

For those clamouring for a playoff system, this is what makes the BCS such a beautiful thing. Every game counts! To strength of schedule to top 10 wins to top 25 wins, they all seem to matter to some degree.

Great point! I do think a playoff system can be devised that would still make games "count", for more teams.

USF still has some loseable games down the stretch. I do not see them going undefeated... and 1 loss will knock them out of the top 10. Their not that good. Their balanced yes but not a great team, just having a cinderella year. Watch... they won't finish above .750 next year. WV almost beat them and Auburn did too. Auburn if they played in the upcoming week or so wins that game as their a different then they were the 1st week of Sept. With the exception of C. Florida... they haven't blown anyone out. They will lose and it'll start to get back where things should be.

i look for a close game, last year Rutgers won 22-20 in South Florida...I only difference this year, is that South Florida beat Auburn early...when they weren't playing good ball. Last year they beat West Virginia and North Carolina, and still had 4 defeats. I don't expect them to run the table, but stranger things have happen. I still don't feel they deserve a NC game spot over a 1 loss OU or LSU.

Nothin wrong with a Cinderella story as long as LSU gets to be the prince at the Royal Ball, and our team doesn't turn into a pumpkin...:thumb:

True but what you fail to realize is that if you make some stupid bet or something and can't post here the whole board will be in BCS chaos!!! The national gaurd (or Grad) will have to show up to restore sanity and then you will have to have an armed escort back to your computer and 300 pound calculator to give us non BCS guru's direction.

There is one of my biggest BCS fears...there I have said it...first step...now acceptance.
