1. Good luck guys and gals. I am looking forward to a good game and great time. I'm in the Million Dollar Band, so if any of ya want stop by and say hiya or goodluck you're welcome. Although I understand if you don't. hehe We're leaving at 12 noon today for New Orleans. Going to Burbon Street tonight. Know of any great places to eat while in Burbon Street??? I've ate a few places and I've loved the food.
    Good Luck and Roll Tide!!!!
    And as always Gueax Tigers!
  2. There's no EATING on Bourbon Street! If you do have to eat while there, I recommend oysters on the half shell and crawfish if they are still available...both are excellent with a beer. Of course there are hundreds of food places around the Quarter that have great food, but the really good stuff is mostly outside the tourist area.
  3. GASP!

NO EATING ON BOURBON STREET!!!! WHAT!!!!!!

    Acme Oyster House
    Redfish Grille
    Mike Andersons . .
and I'm only 2 blocks from Canal!!!!
  4. Suggested dining

    Galatoire's (Jacket required), 209 Bourbon
Port of Call (best burgers in the world) 838 Esplande (outskirts of FQ)
Dickie Brennans (great steaks, business casual)
    Mr. B's
    Alex Patout’s

The last three are located in the FQ, but not on Bourbon. Enjoy Bourbon for the spectacle it is, but do yourself a venture throughout the entire quarter, as it is a national treasure
  5. Re: GASP!

I didn't mean LITERALLY! I just meant that's not why to visit Bourbon Street. Now the surroundign area is ripe with good eats after you've tried the beverages on Bourbon. ;)
  6. Re: Suggested dining

    Exactly!
  7. Mike Serios on St Charles has excellent po-boys.
  8. my favorite

    place to get Po-boys in N.O. is at Medina's . .
