1. Seems ol' Skip has been in Louisiana too long. He seems to be following the La policy of Good Ol' Boy Politics. Brady and Smoke are his buddies. He will keep them around as long as he is around. Both need to go. Brady has a program in stasis. They win, but they have not progressed in a long time. That just wont do it. You must always be moving the program forward. As far as Smoke goes, his program is in regression. They are still good, but no on fears them anymore. No one, even fans here, look at the baseball team as a shoe-in for the CWS, as we did just a few years ago.
  2. Easy buddy. Skip has done tremendous things for LSU. It's hard to imagine a MUCH better job being done than what he is doing right now. The thing about this sort of topic--if you will--is that it's hard to analyze an A.D. position in such a short period of time. Things could be better, yes; but they could also be A LOT worse. I like the fact that LSU is pretty competitive in all sports, and we run a very clean system. The latter is hard to come by these days.

  3. They same people that are defending smoke were the some of the same people that were defending Gerry Dinardo. We can not accept mediocrity.
  4. In 3 seasons some has a record of 135-63-1, .681, has gotten LSU to the CWS in 2003 and 2004, his first 2 years here. His teams had the best record in the SEC in 2003 and 2004, LSU finished in the top 10 in both 2003 and 2004. My lord the man has one down year and everyone is calling for his head. Even in his down year LSU is 24-12, .667, most programs would die to have that high of a win % in a down year.

  5. As you conveniently failed to point out in your homer talking points, this is the first team since 83' that lost five straight league games, did not score a run in the in the 2002 super regional against rice(which proves you wrong that lsu did not make the CWS in his first two years), laid goose eggs in 2003, 2004 CWS. This year we have a league batting average coming into this weekend at .245, with 8 bunts all year, and you think we are just in a slump. This has been a continued downward spiral(sp), and lsu must put a stop it as well as some of the excuses that some are giving on this forum.
  6. Skip has the problem that most A.D.s in college and G.M.s in the pros have... Great with running the program, bad at personell.. i hope this isnt true for Miles, but as far as Brady goes, i think Skip has been around them too long... its awful to say, but i think he cares about those guys too much to fire them.
  7. Skip and Joe Dean will go down as the worst A.D.'s in LSU history. His hiring of Smoke has ethical questions. His keeping Brady is unexplainable. His comments to Saban that caused Saban to leave are reason for immediate firing. Skip, the perfect example of the Peter Principle, is a tool of Charlie Cusamino and the good old boys of BOS who brought us Dean, Hallman, Dumbnardo, etal and disliked Saban. Skip's mishandling of the hiring of a football coach to replace Saban is unbelievable. Letting us lose the best track coach in America because Skip would not recognize his achievements should have resulted in Skip's immediate firing. Basically, Skip is on an ego drive that is ruinning LSU sports. :cuss:
  8. Now what were his comments to Saban? I haven't heard anything about Skip saying something to Saban that made him leave.
  9. You guys think we should fire Les Miles now before he ever has the chance to get a loss in football?

This board will explode in the football season if LSU does not go undefeated,
but thats just my prediction. :dis:
  10. I dont see a team on LSU's schedule that they shouldnt be able to beat. Expect this board to explode if LSU's defense goes to crap.
