i just landed in Washington Dulles. I hate that airport. It is hard to get around in, the terminals are small and overcrowded and the main terminal looks like a refugee from the Soviet Union. Flew through Houston Bush and have always liked it but it’s getting too big. DFW sucks O’Hare has gotten better. LAX is right next to DFW in suckage I love SFO and Newark isn’t bad to travel through.
I was fortunate during my active duty Air Force days and in my civilian job afterwards I didn't do that much flying in the CONUS. And when I did I flew into smaller airports unlike the big ones you mentioned. Most of my travel was to our overseas locations and if I was flying business class which I did most of the time I got to use the airline premium class lounges.
I hate Newark. Ohare sucks because if your flight is around 5 pm your almost guarrenteed to be delayed. Amsterdam and London are huge and it takes forwver to get around. Nicest airports I've been to are Munich and Vancouver BC.
On their landing path into Newark the planes look like they are 10 above the interstate. Scary as hell if your driving.
same at Burbank in Los Angeles, looks like the plane is going to land on the freeway right on top of you.
