I havent been into the Grammy's recently as all this rap n' crap has dominated many of the awards but, forgetting it was even on I stumbled upon it last night watching a good bit. It was interesting that Plant/Krauss swept all the major awards since their album is such a huge departure from the typical winners these days. It was also nice to see so many traditional musicians performing instead of the rap n' crap. If you havent heard the Plant/Krauss album you need to check it out. Very unique sound, kind of a haunting country soul feel and exceptionally good IMHO. Plants voice is really showcased and compliments some killer harmony's by Krauss. This is one of Plants best, and most surprising, vocal performances. Not the kind of material you would expect his voice to shine in. Krauss is just phenomenal as well. The performances in general were quite good. I even thought RadioHead was excellent and Im not a fan at all. Wasnt too keen on Timberlake and Al Green, could have done without that. I dont like Timberlake. He's a manufactured star with a nasally voice who would be lucky if he could play a kazoo.
