get to know www.bugmenot.com just type in latimes.com and it will give you multiple accounts to login so you can bypass registering. One of the best web tools ever. Works for any newspaper.

get to know firefox + extensions + http://roachfiend.com/archives/2005/02/07/bugmenot/#more-11 you just right click then select bugmenot in the registry field and it will fill in the login.
