Ryan Theriot - only player to score winning run in College World Series and MLB World Series. I watched the CWS final game in my Dad's hospital room with him. Later that night he took a turn for the worse and passed away the next day, Father's Day.
Good that you got to watch that game with your Dad. Theriot was our super utility in 2012, and a fine one, playing 2nd, SS, 3B, RF, LF, clutch hitter too, an all around solid Giant, he retired after leaving SF
Now he owns a place called Traction Fitness where a lot of high profie athletes train. Also is on the radio on Fridays with a local sports talk host.
