    Pretzel Logic---good one. No AJA?

Easier if it's out of order but something like this:

    1. Led Zep II
    2. Who's Next-The Who
    3. Red Headed Stranger---Willie Nelson (may be #1)
    4. Van Halen I
    5. RUSH-Moving Pictures
    6. Steely Dan--AJA
    7. The Police-Synchronicity
    8. Jimmy Buffett-Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude (and maybe A1A)
    9. Pink Floyd-Dark Side
    10. The Doors---self-titled 1st album.

Edit: Oh and Genesis gets honorable mention........maybe Duke or Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.

I could live on a desert island forever with that group of music.

I wanted to put a Steely Dan album on my list. And Aja is their best non compilation album but I always disliked the title track. So that held them off my top ten. I thought about putting 'A Decade of Steely Dan' there to give them props.

    Favorite SD song??
    Mine is 'Kid Charlemagne'

I like just about everything SD. Oh and I love the drum work on the title track from Aja.

Hmmm.......favorite SD song? It could be Pretzel Logic the song. Or maybe Green Earrings from Royal Scam. I play a little guitar so I love good guitarists and Larry Carlton on Royal Scam just tears it up.

    What's your favorite SD records?

Obviously mine is Aja but to just listen to over and over would have to be Royal Scam. And Gaucho, Katy Lied are excellent....hell they are all good. Except the last one, Everything Must Go was very disappointing.

I haven't listened to SD in a few months....if Red hadn't listed Pretzel Logic I may have forgotten about SD. I tend to listen to stuff in waves. Like everything Genesis for 3 weeks, then everything SD for 4 weeks, then everything Rush and so on.

    I'm quoting myself now but:

But I've been thinking about this thread........and I'm going to nominate Willie's Red Headed Stranger as the best album ever.

Man that's hard though. I left Elton off the list too with Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. So take Halen I off and add Elton. Now I see why ratings need a Top 100 list.
