Well I thought the new rule went into effect this year and that no matter what you can only have 25 signatures on NSD? Maybe my assumption is wrong but I have been banking on that all season.

Only way to have more in a class is if enrolled and counted back before NSD.

    well lets see

2 senior SEC starters in front of Mett might of had a little to do with it !

Yeah, it definitely sounds like sour grapes. Also, Bama fans of all people are criticizing us for a "moral recruiting victory". They print out Recruiting National Championship T-shirts!

So next year it's gonna be a Red shirt Junior and two red shirt Freshmen that have all had at least a years head start. I'm sure Gunner will be great, I simply don't see a way (baring injury) that Gunner cracks the rotation next year. Miles will want an extra year buffer between him and Rivers/Randle.

The fact that Kiel doesn't have to step on the field immediately LSU helps his cause. In fact, I believe that factored into his decision. At Vandy, he would almost be the de facto starter by the time summer hit. Even at Notre Dame, the cries for him would have likely been loud. I think Kiel knows his best chance to succeed is to have some time to adapt and adjust. Don't take that to mean he's "afraid" of competition or anything like that. It's just being reasonable.

I hope this is accurate. As another poster said, it would be nice to get a Cam Newton type season out of Mett with Randall coming in as the change-of-pace guy in 2012, then have Kiel take over in 2013 after Mett goes pro.

I'm curious how it's going to play out with Rivers.

Really? Just a Cam Newton type of season out of Mett. Well at least you aren't setting your sites too high. :hihi::thumb:

If he's the type of guy that is going to succeed at LSU, I would expect it to piss him off and motivate the **** out of him to prove them wrong.

I've learned to temper my excitement and expectations with recruits. I've seen enough hyped up players never live up to the billing and players like TM7 who most people never gave a second thought about, blow it up.

We usually get a good sense about these recruits potential after spring practice when info starts leaking and the cream starts to rise to the top.

Wow! A Cam type season. We would win the title going away if that happens. I don't think we will see a Cam type season by any QB for a long time. You can see what he has done in his first NFL season just how talented he is. All we need is a Matt Flynn type season next year; just manage thhe game baby!:geauxtige
