Here's what I put in my bossburgers: diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, sea salt, Tony C's. Grill over lump charcoal.

Once you get the proportioning just right, they'll be some of the best patties you've ever had.

These guys make a huge living at 50/50. Their burgers are made with 50% beef and 50% bacon. They are in fact, to die for.

I have had one. The only downfall is that it has to be cooked on the more well side given the safe cooking temp for bacon is higher.

I had a really good burger at a friends house this week. She mixed a very small amount of finely diced garlic with the beef. Nice flavor without making it taste like a meatball. i wonder if a dash of garlic powder would do the same. I may try.

Don't skimp on the fresh garlic. It beats the hell out of garlic powder.

Usually, but in some dishes you can't tell the difference.

It wouldn't. Fresh garlic is much more potent than garlic powder. A dash of garlic powder would break down into nothing while the burger cooks leaving little if any garlic flavor. You could jump it from a dash to a ton, and get a similar result as using the fresh garlic.

Another pretty good burger trick is mixing a package of dry Lipton's Onion Soup mix with the ground meat before forming the patties

That is the stuff that makes a burger taste like a meatloaf. Overkill.

I wouldn't want it all the time but its a good change of pace. Bread is what makes meat taste like meatloaf but I like meatloaf if its cooked like I like it.
