1. Isn't that the play were Ohio State's All-American LB (#33) absolutely denied Hester? Remember, Hester dove over the middle, and #33 blew him out of the sky, denying Hester the TD. I had to admit, it was a hell of a play by #33.

  2. Nope, that was a TD by Hester.

Hester never gives up after 1st contact.

  3. Hester deserves this shot. Perfect place for him, too.

NFL is a completely different game than college, from what I have read/heard. So it'll be interesting to watch him develop.

But the fact that he went in the third round just lights me up. Wish I could pat him on the back.

The Florida game will always remain cemented in my mind.
  4. No, this was the TD by Hester:

As you can see, Hester tried to run it into the endzone, and was met and wrapped up by #33. Despite being wrapped up by #33, Hester was able to overpower him, and fall forward to the left, landing across the goal line for the TD. That was Hester's only TD of the game.

In the pictures above showing Hester going airborne, what happened was Hester left the ground and tried to dive into the end zone. #33 laid a pretty impressive smack on Hester, knocking Hester down to Hester's right, denying Hester from the end zone. Hester couldn't do anything about it because, unlike #33, his feet weren't on the ground.

Basically, LSU had the ball 1st-and-goal at the one. Hester tried to score twice, and both times he was stopped for no gain (including the denial pictured above when #33 blew Hester out of the air). Hester scored on his third attempt, on third down (shown in the video clip above).

  6. Fine, I'm sorry for pointing out that people are looking at incorrect picture of Hester's TD in the NC game, thinking that it was actually Hester's TD.
  7. How did Hester get the crystal ball before we'd even won the game?
  8. It was a "done dea" that it was ours as soon as ESPN picked OSU as the favorite to win.
  9. Tiga - I was wonderin' the same thing. Maybe it's on wiki. Be right back...
