If it weren't for watching the morning news, I wouldn't even know today was Fat Tuesday. And quite honestly, if it weren't for Katrina, I doubt they'd have had a report on it.

But I'm looking forward to the king cake my mama ships me every year (after Mardi Gras, 'cause it's 50% off)!!!

 

hell, i'm in BR and it's no big deal. some people are wearing mardi gras beads but its business as usual. i have my :lsup: beads on.

it basically came down to whether i wanted off for the bash or mardi gras. i chose the bash, it was cheaper.

 

No big deal. Mobile and Pensacola do have some parades during Mardi Gras weekend though.

 

I definately have the day off. It is called retirement. Everyone have a great Mardi Gras.

 

Man that's crazy, I thought everyone was off for Mardi Gras. Especially in South LA.

I ordered a King cake for everybody in my office today and they had never even heard of a King Cake....Does that give you an idea of importance?
