Starter at QB for this weeks game? I heard it was going to be Russell, but wasn't sure.

Saban sounded as confused as ever tonight about what he should do in regards to the QB situation.

It doesn't matter what Florida's defensive game plan is if LSU's offensive game plan doesn't include blocking someone. The QB wasn't the problem on the offensive side of the ball last week, it was the total lack of blocking and failure to hold on to the football. I didn't see Gawga do anything different when we changed QB's and unfortunately LSU didn't either except for the brief ray of sunshine in the last few minutes of the first half when Gawga was playing prevent defense..

I understand that Randall is the senior and hasn't done THAT bad of a job, but we need to start Russell and see how he does when the game is 0-0 not 24-0 or 14-0. Russell may be able to play a lot better when he starts rather than coming in as relief. I hope Russell gets some starts this season so we can see how well he does.

I THINK COACH SABAN IS BETTER QUALIFIED TO DECIDE WHO STARTS AT QB THAN MOST OF US, BUT IT SURE WOULD BE NICE TO SEE JR PLAY A FULL FOUR QUARTERS AGAINST FLORIDA.

No need for Saban to be confused. There are several bulletin boards available that would give him clear and concise answers to any question he may have. If he can't find the answer here then he can call his buddy, John Brady. JB knows how to handle adversity.

I said it before the season, during the season, and I’m going to repeat it once again because it is more than obvious: as long as Randall is the starter, this team will struggle against quality opponents.

It’s a lot easier for the offensive line to block effectively when they aren’t outnumbered and blitzed on almost every down, and as long as Randall is the starter, teams will load the box and bring it on, because they know that Randall can’t consistently pass the ball downfield. They know that if Randall feels pressure he develops a serious case of the happy feet. If you believe the offensive line is the most serious problem, you simply don’t understand cause and effect. I'd sure feel better about this weekend's game if Russell was the starter.
