I'm headed to South Bend today for Saturday's ND v. UT game. A goof friend, and big ND fan invited me to go with him. Since I've never been to South Bend, I am looking forward to it. I will be pulling for UT (quietly  ) and wearing my Auburn hat. Hope I survive :hihi:

I'll be there too PT. I live in Chicago, can't pass up the only chance I will have to see an SEC team within 100 miles of me.

Its a magical place, went there when LSU played ND, be sure to get some time to go by the CFB hall of fame.
Good people in South bend, had a great time there.

I'll be in the Joyce South Parking lot near the center tow of porta johns. I have no clue where this is at, I am going with someone who does.

Went and watched ND play WVU a few years back. ND is really different compared to SEC schools. Really fun place to watch a football game....except the game I went to was 0 degrees.

It's supposed to be in the upper 60's, which is rare for here this time of year. I think I would rather go to a snow game, as we will never see one of those in TS.

I made it to a game last year (Washington) when I lived in Chicago. Missed the CFB Hall of Fame, but saw the Grotto, TD Jesus, Golden Dome, etc. Although they expanded the stadium a few years ago to about 80,000, it still feels intimate. We had probably the worst seats in the stadium -- top row in the corner of the endzone -- but they still were pretty good seats. Very much worth the trip for any true college football fan.

I'd love to go to a game at Notre Dame Stadium. South Bend is the home of the College Football HOF and just all the history and tradition surrounding Notre Dame football, I think would be a great trip for any college football fan regardless if they like the Irish or not.

My good friend went to last week's Penn State-Purdue game at Beaver Stadium. He said it was a fantastic atmosphere, but not as loud as Tiger Stadium, but still loud. Said Paterno is a GOD there and rightfully so...40 years as the head coach, 50+ at PSU and he's put so much money back into the university it's crazy. Like having the Library named after he and his wife.
