Seeing how it is the first day of summer I am starting to plan my tailgate for the VT game sep 8. Does anyone have any "to die for" recipes I can include to impress the in-laws??
It's going to be kind of hot on September 8 for the traditional jambalaya and gumbo, but a fish fry in hot weather goes over pretty well. Don't forget the watermelon.

Some ponce de cochon, boudin, or just plain ole cajun smoked sausage (ala Richards, Mandas, fresh market, and on...) over the grill with some poboy bread is pretty simple. Even some cold Popeyes and biscuits (trust me, they still make it different here than the rest of the country...) would be nice on a hot day. When it gets a little cooler and later in the season, breakout the deer sauce pican. Just don't go over board with the tomatoes OK. Later, Fur
