They said it was Mack Brown's stepson. I would hate to be him right now, but I probably would have thought the ball was dead if it were me down there, too. He wasn't the only one that was too far onto the field, though. I agree that it didn't look like he touched it. Shrug.
I know I'll get called out again for my distaste for the Pac-1 but this is going according to script. The media overhypes the Pac-1 and then they prove they're not as good as advertised. I hate pulling for the Longhorns but I have to tonight. I wish the Holiday Bowl would do a little more with the field. I've always thought this was a lower-tiered bowl because they don't promote the teams as much as they do the Chargers. Until the last few years, the bowl participants were usually better than the Chargers. Come on San Diego...show some love to the college teams!
Right next to Qualcomm Stadium is an ancient chemical tank farm. Below the stadium lurks the unknown, however soil samples have proven that the cost to remove contaminated soil far out weigh the cost of replacing the stadium hence the two year long search to approve a property for the Chargers to build and move to. Perhaps the Chargers end up in San Antonio? Just sayin the grass aint gettin any prettier. Dont let that derail your plans to come see Shamu! :thumb:
I spent 10 years in San Diego so the only Shamu I plan to see is the one painted on a Southwest Airlines plane. :hihi: I'll actually be back for a conference in March. The only thing I miss is a carne asada burrito from Alberto's, Humberto's, Adalberto's, or any other dive that ends in ...berto's.
I felt the same way when I saw that head official announcing penalties. At least we don't have to put up with these guys for the NC.
