1. He has Qualified for 100M and 400M Relay at the World Championship in Japan.

I know it is a great opportunity for him to get some experience under his belt in hopes of making the Olympics in the trails next year but I really want him with the football team training for a big year.

  2. Sigh of relief.

He decided to stick with his decision last week and skip the World Championships.

I was worried for a second there.
    2 people like this.
  4. Good thing he is skipping. He is on scholarship for football. Les let him run track, so he better not skip football for it.
  5. When I get home from work the Herm/Holly avatar is coming up. Sorry ET, but there's a new love in town.
  6. okay first off do you know how hard it is to make the world championships? Second how many time do you actually see hime touching the football maybe 7 or 8 counting special teams. The man has a better shot at running in the olympics than play pro football. I believe deep down this is going to be a decision he is going to regret. I dont recall anybody saying anything about BB when he pick the olympics in 04 over football practice and a couple games. Everybody needs to stop being selfish and root for the best interest in our players and I believe the world championships would have been. But, maybe you guys know more than I do when it comes to how hard it was to do what he did in the 100m.
  7. Crowton has plans for Trindon this year and will contribute more than last year. I wish the best for him in anything he chooses but Holliday's first love is football and he wants to prove what he can do. Cant we be selfish knowing he is doing what he loves best?

  8. I wrote my statement just based upon what the people before me had said. As long as he is doing what he loves that is fine. But, if you read his statement yes he didn't want to miss football, but he also doesn't want to fall behind in class. IF Crowton uses him more that will be great but i am just being realistic. It just seems to me that all the time and effort he has put in the 100 meters he is throwing it away.
  9. I know he has a brighter future in track.

But he is on scholarship for the football team and Les let him run track.

And like the other poster said, he will be incorporated more this year.

  10. Do you actually believe that a two star, listed at 5'7" WR was given a football schollie because of that being his first love. or is it safe to say that Les didn't let him run track but was a deal worked out between the two coaches due to a lack of schollies for the number 1 ranked 60 meter runner in the state. Lets be real!
