Just watched the college game day final or whatever. Anyway they ran a spot about LSU and Dorsey. After the clip Holtz starts talking junk about LSU's defense. Then it got a little ugly. Holtz started yelling at May about "the"osu, and how they are fast and all that good hoopla. If I remembered correctly Holtz picked ND to beat LSU in New Orleans, and May laughed at his face, and then we stomped a mudhole in the Irish's a@@. If one of you computer wizards could Tivo the Holtz-May fight and post it or do whatever it is, it would be great. :geauxtige :crystal: :milesmic: :LSU231:
Lou Holtz is basically comic relief. I dont' even think he takes himself seriously. The sad thing about that duo is that ESPN put Mark May on the staff as a credible analyst.
Holtz picked Florida to win last year and was, with the exception of his ND pick, generally spot on with his bowl picks last year.
Holtz also picked ND to win every game this year. How's that "spot on" rep working for him these days?
To be fair, it's an ongoing joke around ESPN that Holtz picks ND to win each week. Just a bit of "comic relief" ESPN style.
Yes. But I have to believe it became a joke because he did always pick them. Sort of like we all know women love to shop. So everytime they leave the house, us men would say don't spend too much.
As long as he doesn't feel the need to give LSU the "locker room pep talk" prior to the game!!! :cry:
