1. I caught a brief section on ESPN where Mark May and Lou Holtz were talking about the most difficult conference, and Holtz wasn't giving that credit to the SEC when he argued that the SEC had a poor out-of-conference record this year. However, Holtz did recognize that the SEC did have great coaches but didn't include Miles in his rundown of great SEC coaches!!!

  3. It's unfortunate that you have to have an NC to be considered a great coach. I guess if Steve Spurrier had not won just 1 NC he might be considered a "choke coach", instead he's considered one of the 2 best in college football.

What SEC coach has the best record in the SEC the past 3 years? Yep, Fear the Hat. Even Urban Meyer who barely made it into last years NC has now lost 3 of 4 games this year. And Pete Carrol for all of his Trojan dynasty only has 1 BCSNC. Just too much church lady talk going on.

  9. Holz came to the SEC and left a disappointment. SC was not a great team when he arrived, and they remain a program yet complete. Regardless, the man has a chip on his shoulder from this experience. He has a hard time accepting a coach can enter the SEC and succeed.
