Just announced a few hours ago...

@LSUBonnette: It's Saturday NIGHT in Tiger Stadium! CBS officially announces that @lsufball will host Alabama at 7 p.m. in Death Valley on Nov. 3.

Was there "subject to change" below it in fine print?

It will stay at night CBS will be able to charge big bucks for advertisements in what will be a very highly rated game.

This was guaranteed to LSU last year when CBS got the Alabama game from ESPN, by contract.

They had to give up two "first selections" to ESPN in return. I've been curious who ESPN grabs.

Yep, wondered about that myself. Do they have to announce one week out or two weeks out?

Correct; some may remember that CBS' deal with the SEC is for only one night game a season, and they had already used it before LSU/Bama became a 1v2 matchup. So they gave up right of first pick for LSU/Bama in '12 in exchange for moving '11 to 7:00.

BTW, Rolan....are you the Rolan53 that posts highlight clips of LSU games on youtube?

I don't recall how the contract is written other than you'll see CBS "exercising their six day option" occasionally during the season. Based on what I remember, and my guessing as well, I'd think they are limited on the amount of games they can wait until the Monday before the game to choose. Otherwise, it's two weeks out for CBS.
