I am VERY familiar with that area...I hired a lot of part timers from Ellender High when I was GM of FootAction in the Houma Mall. I had some from H.L. "boozzwaa" too.

It's been a while since I lived there, and the mention of that school brought back memories...good ones. I hope all is well when this thing is over.

I hope all of you are in a safe place and the damage form Gustav will be minimal. I've been watching TV all morning as it approaches landfall and praying for the folks in harm's way.

Man... I love being in a neighborhood with buried power lines (knock on wood)...

I hope everyone in the affected areas or have family that are in the areas, are safe and sound. I hope you dont experience any major damage to homes and so on.

    Be safe!:thumb:

Just got back to My house and we have POWER!!! We actually went to the game Saturday and stayed with friends near Baton Rouge. I think we would have been better off in Destrehan though. Here are some pics.

Just found out that my application to FEMA for disaster aid was rejected because I had the common sense to purchase my generator 4 days before Gustav made landfall. Apparently I was supposed to wait till after landfall and stand in 6 hour lines with the ignorant and unprepared. Looks like I'll appreciate my $800 purchase a little more than originally anticipated.
