Reports from Houma indicate that sustained winds of 100 to 110 with gusts of 130 when eye wall passed over. That's from a weather station at one of our (LSU AgCenter) research stations there.

Meanwhile, lights continue to flicker here in Gonzales.

For what it's worth, the info I provided about Houma is confirmed. It's from a site I *had* connectivity to up until about 15 minutes ago.

    I figured yours was legit.

Some of the other stuf I've heard:

    • Montegut, Chauvin, and Pointe-Aux-Chenes levees have failed
    • Marty J's (chauvin) roof is gone
    • Dock N Shop (Boudreaux Canal) is no longer in existance
    • Houma Civiv Center roof is severly damaged/gone
none of this has been confirmed officially.
