He was hurt on the very first offensive play and limped to the sideline. Later he came in a ran a couple more plays. I have no problem with Addai running a few plays in the 1st quarter, but having Russell running the ball(not by design) in the 4th and the entire starting D still in early in the 4th makes no sense at all. I also would have liked to see Flynn get a series or two in the first half, not replace Russell for the game but at least get some snaps early.

Don't know about you, but I thought Appalachian State was a better team that what I thought they would be. And with a halftime score of only 14-0, I was nervous.

You have to play every game to win and only until the game is within your grasp, do you sub.

Had Appalachain kept up, and it was something like 24-21, and Addai had not even played, people would be whining about how, "Miles is an idiot for NOT playing Addai. We needed to win big against this team!"

Again, I guess our "Idiot coach", who's also a semifinalist for National Coach of the Year, simply can't win with some fans, no matter what he does... . :dis:

In most cases I would agree with this 100%, but our starters didn't play with a lot of passion last night and even our 2nd and 3rd stringers have more talent than Appalachain's starters. It may have helped to get some of the younger guys in early because they may have been a little more passionate about getting some PT. Plus you can always put the starters back in if the younger guys aren't getting the job done JMO. Guys like Wrotten and KW could have used a break last night instead of playing late into the 4th quarter when it was apparent that we were going to win but that it was not going to be a blow out, again JMO. :)

You cant blame this on Les Miles. Addai ran the ball 3 times and kinda tweaked his ankle. He's the starter and you had to let him run the the ball a few times and get him ready for Alabama. Jordy said it was nothing serious but he wasn't gonna put him back in for precautionary reasons. I think he will be ready for Alabama. He will play hurt if he has too. Addai has a BIG Heart.

The only injury I noticed or that I have seen reported from this game is Addai. It's not a new injury, just looks like he twisted his anke again.
