Time for all the the Iowa fans to stop lurking and join in on some Capital One Bowl conversations! Some of you already have. Looking forward to hearing from the rest of you! I am glad LSU gets to play an opponent they have not played before. Also, Iowa is a quality opponent that has flown under the radar in recent years. Likely Iowa will relish in playing the defending national champions with an opportunity to gain more respect and national recognition. It should be a great game. :helmet: :tigerhead :lsup:
Hawkeyes Hey Tiger fans, congratulations on a great season. Here is the link to our board, http://iowa.scout.com. Looking foward to playing you guys. Have seen you play a couple times this year. You guys have a strong defense. Should be a good game, our defense has really played well this year also, our offense shows signs of being good. We have a sophmore QB, Drew Tate, very good outside the pocket, has a knack for elluding tackles and throwing on the run. We have had no running game do to injuries, 5 starters lost at position. Our turnover margin on defense has really helped us this year. Have two really good receivers in Hienkle and Solomon. Our defensive line is lead by Roth (very physical), with two outstanding LB in Greenway and Hodge. Looking foward to the game, I bought my tickets a week before we knew we were going there, had a hunch. I am glad we are playing LSU, never play you before, should be a great matchup. Thanks Iowa fans are delighted to be in the Cap One Bowl. Those of us who are paying attention know that LSU will be the best team that we have faced all year. We see LSU as a high profile program with great athletes. We'll have to bring our A game in order to hope to win. Yes we do play teams with great athletes, Michigan, OSU, Wisc, Purdue, Penn State. Of course, like LSU; Mich and OSU have great athletes 3-deep in their roster.
Capital One Bowl This will be a great game. Worked for a New Orleans based company for a long time and have spent a lot of time in Louisiana. have a number of good friends who are LSU graduates. Wish I could be there to see the game but will be out of the country. Hawks and Tigers will be a great game. Go Hawks.
