i dont follow the NRA ar what is going on with that, but you guys are definitely right, mccain is behind some of the most anti-american, free speech crippling laws in american history.
Gallup is hardly conservative. Also Zogby did a piece about Kerry being in deep trouble, although the margin was not double digits. Those two polls in my opinion truly are independent, unless you have information otherwise?
