I don't think it is Jaime not wanting to be part of the ceremony. I think it is the fact that Jaime decided to not play the rest of the season and Brady told him that if he made that decision, he wouldn't be part of the ceremony...

I asked because I do not know - I'm not trying to imply anything...

Then my "classy guy" comment should have been directed towards Brady?

Also, put into context. What if you were about to graduate with a degree in Management. You find out that a worthwhile class you are taking would drop your GPA so low that it would cause you not to get a good job. You go to your advisor and she says that you don't need the class to get your degree, would you keep it or drop it? The example is a bit skewed, but I think everyone would agree that they would drop it. Although the class looks good on your resume and you will gain the esteem of your classmates and teachers by completing the course, in the long term, you would drop it to get a great job....

i read that article and i do not get the impression that he quit the team. if he doesnt want to risk further unjury, thats a perfectly acceptable reason to not play in my book.

I don't think towards anyone. I think Brady made the right call and so did Jaime. It's unfortunate, but I don't think anyone should be hated for the situation or criticized...

    Excerpt...

"He said that he enjoyed his time at LSU and that he's sorry it ended like this but that he wishes us well," said Brady, who returned those wishes to Lloreda.

"I support Jaime and what's best for him," Brady said. "That doesn't mean I agree with everything he's done, but I wish him the best."

What part of this quote makes it sound like he didn't quit?

LOL ... so if he doesn't show up to anymore games, will you assume he quit the team?

does a person who doesn't quit miss a senior night designed specifically to honor him? And does a person who is honorable remember that he wouldn't even be being considered for the NBA if it wasn't for his opportunity here, to get a FREE education and schooling in basketball, along with national exposure in one of the nations toughest leagues. Maybe I am being overly critical, but doesn't the university, his coach, fans, and teammates deserve for him to at least be around, even if you don't play, for the last games. There are other doctors in louisiana right? specialist' even. Growing up poor isn't a good excuse to me, because he can make the same decision but still not wrong his teammates by at least staying around, even if he doesn't play.
