New Orleans Saints left tackle Jammal Brown sidelined indefinitely with possible sports hernia - NOLA.com

Brown practiced on Wednesday and was seen limping off the field after the afternoon workout. He told reporters he was fine afterward.
Payton said the injury has bothered Brown throughout camp. "He's been having some pains in his upper groin area," Payton said.
Brown has battled injuries throughout his four-year career, but most of them have been ankle or knee maladies.
Brown's injury leaves the Saints extremely thin at tackle. Back-up Zach Strief is out with a left knee injury. In their place, seldom-used third-year veteran Jermon Bushrod worked with the first-team offense and is expected to start on Saturday.

I'd hold him out for Detroit and give him one more week to heal.
