I think he will stay another year, JR have not proven he can pass more then 25 time a game. I've have see yard and TD's but a low pass count. Look at the W/L passes W's are <25, L's are >25. A Pro team passes around 45 times a game. JR is not ready yet after next year and a NC he'll be ready and he knows it.

I hope so. There's just so much more he can accomplish next year that would translate into even MORE $$$ in the pros.

He could contend for All-American....He should be on the Heisman watch list...He could quite frankly be the best QB in college next season with his only true competition coming from McCoy at Texas.

    Davey O'Brien award??

    SEC West title???

    SEC title????

    BCS title game?????

    WINNING a national championship??????

His stock will only go up, IMO. Sure he loses his favorite target (Bowe) and another VERY dependable WR (Buster Davis), but he still has Early--whom I can see becoming his new "go-to" guy (he and Early already have a good bit of game-winning moments). I would think that LaFell--especially with another year of weight training--would assume the "possession receiver role" previously held by Bowe (although LaFell probably will never be as strong/big as Bowe).

Next year JR would lose 2 of the most prolific WR's in LSU history, but he would retain 1 and have some very capable WR's (LaFell and the Mitchells).

please let's avoid the delusional comments like bama fans with comments that he needs to come back to improve a or b. that can apply to any college player at any position in any sport. bottom line is he's going to be a first round pick without a doubt and will be offered serious jack. if enough for his liking, he is without a doubt gone and nothing else matters. end of story. thats how the game works in case you all have been asleep the last 30 years. (see bama reference again). the matt leinart debacle certainly wont escape jr's agent either.

I think it will all come down to the medical needs of his Uncle. I think he wants to stay for a chance at a national title and possible Heisman. But if his uncle's health gets worse he will have no choice but to develop as a rookie in the NFL. However, I know his uncle is very happy with his LSU career and might encourage him to stay. But I don not know the seriousness of his Uncle's condition.

Ya if he is projected in the 1st round he should and will go pro. I want to see him stay but there is no way he will pass up that much money to come back another year where he could improve his stock but also he could hurt himself agaisnt the dirty hokies and be out for a good bit of the year and mess up his chances.

Folks, it's time for us to start giving Unconditional Props to JR. He is, without a doubt, one of the best QBs in LSU history.
