How about Jeff Bower? If it hadn't been for Curley Hallman coming from USM and burning us, Bower would seem like a pretty good choice. Seems like he has more character than Hallman, plus, he has had success at USM without a star like Brett Favre, who we can partially thank for inflating the abilities of Hallman.

I wouldn't mind him, and we are probably going to have to look at someone like that if Butch Davis isn't interested. Not too many big names available right now.

Going from Nick Saban to Bower is definitely a step-down. No need for LSU to shop at Wal-mart anymore.

EXACTLY!!!! Bower is a good coach and has done a great job at USM. But I'm done with C-USA shopping.... No more Hallman's ....
