I am seeing this reported on other Boards that he committed to Auburn. Anyone know what's going on?

if he did...we'll just have someone as good or better taking his spot.

From what I have heard, Watson wanted to play RB, and the LSU coaches wanted him at WR or DB. This may be okay with the LSU coaches, who have more good players who want schollies than they have available.

a CB with that size and speed would have been nice though...

LSU has other options at DB than Watson.

I am hearing that Tony Bell, who visited this weekend, will be a Tiger. He is a good sized DB, who probably projects as SS, but could probably also play a fast LB in the mold of Eric Alexander.

and its official Watson is gone, he is under rivals prospect search as a commitment to Auburn.

With the talent still left out there considering LSU, we will replace Watson with a better player. For example, a blue-chip WR like Lavelle Hawkins from California will be more inclined to sign here now.

Maybe we could land Marcus Walker, who a lot of people believe is the best corner out there....Anyone know our chances for Marcus??

I'm not sure of our chances....I'm sure it is just about even with everyone else in the running. But I do believe he is supposed to commit tonight on Fox Sports.

I dont think tonight. I think he will committ on Inside SW recruiting Show Fox Sports SW. I think it plays on Tuesdays.
